ABOUT RECYCLED POLYTHENE:

In April 2022, the UK Government introduced a Plastic Packaging Tax. The tax applies to plastic packaging manufactured in, or imported into the UK where the plastic used in its manufacture contains less than 30% recycled plastic. The aim is to encourage customers to buy plastic with a percentage of recycled content in it; thus encouraging better collection of plastic waste and more recycling.

Templecombe Ltd is now offering recycled content film of 30-40%% as standard on most lines.

The more the recycled content in the plastic the less ‘perfect’ the film and print are, however over time it will likely become the ‘norm’ and everyone will accept this is a step we all have to take and a compromise we all have to make; for sustainability.
